Canadian actor Keanu Reeves was born September 2, 1964 in Beirut, Lebanon. His mother, a costume designer named Patricia, was working in Lebanon when she met his geologist father, Samuel, who left her and Keanu in 1966. In 1994, Samuel was convicted of selling narcotics and sentenced to ten years; he and Keanu do not speak. Keanu moved with his mother to Australia, New York, and Toronto. He is a Canadian citizen.
