Randy Quaid, born October 1, 1950 in Houston, Texas, is the older brother of actor Dennis Quaid. His father was an electrician and his mother was a real estate agent. He has been in more than 90 films. He has a daughter and is married to his second wife, and has been the subject of quite a few legal issues. He fled to Canada, avoiding extradition as he awaited a decision on his refugee status for his stated fear for his life due to "Hollywood star whackers," who he and his wife claim are after them. They were living under immigration detention in Montreal until late 2015, when he was released in order to travel to the United States. He was arrested by ICE agents in Vermont as he crossed into the US at the Highgate Springs port of entry and released almost immediately with no stipulations.
