Michelle Pfeiffer, born April 29, 1958 in Santa Ana, California to parents who moved from North Dakota. She told the London Daily Telegraph that after she came to Hollywood, she wound up with a group who was devoted to vegetarianism and metaphysics. She says that it was a cult, and that they controlled her life and she gave them most of her money. She married actor Peter Horton, a friend who was instrumental in getting her away from the cult, in 1981, and they were divorced in 1990. She married her current husband in 1993. They live in Woodside, California and have two children.
