Willie Nelson was born April 29, 1933 in Abbott, Texas and is known as a prolific songwriter and a legendary country music singer. He was raised by his grandparents who encouraged both Willie and his sister Bobbie in their musical endeavors. He wrote his first song at the age of seven. He joined the military and upon his discharge due to a bad back, he moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1956. In 1956, he moved to Houston. He now lives in Maui, Hawaii. He has been married four times and has seven children.
