Actress Julianne Moore was born Julie Anne Smith at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina on December 3, 1960. Her father was in the 82nd Airborne and her mother was an immigrant from Scotland. As a child, she moved around the country with her family. When she was 16, they moved to Frankfurt, Germany, and she began acting in high school there. She was married to her first husband for 7 years, and a year after the divorce, she began a relationship with Bart Freundlich. They had a son and a daughter, and a year after the younger child was born, they were married. They live in Manhattan.
