Patrick McGoohan (March 19, 1928 - January 13, 2009) was born in Queens, New York but was raised in Britain and Ireland. His big international success was in the cult hit "The Prisoner," the story about a secret agent who retires and finds himself in a prison which appears to be a resort. McGoohan was married to one woman from 1951 until he died. They had three daughters and lived in Los Angeles. He died in Santa Monica.
