Singer and actress Madonna was born Madonna Louise Ciccone in Bay City, Michigan on August 16, 1958. She moved to New York City in 1977 to become a dancer. She was married to Sean Penn for two years. She had a relationship with her fitness trainer, and they had a daughter in 1996. She met director Guy Ritchie in 1999, and they were married in 2000 in Scotland. Together, they have a son. They were divorced in 2008. In 1995, she married Carlos Leon, her fitness trainer. They divorced in 1997. She has adopted three children and is involved in Jewish Kabbalah.
