Vivien Leigh (November 5, 1913 - July 8, 1967) was born Vivian Mary Hartley in British India. She was perhaps best known for her role as Scarlett O'Hara, though her film credits abound. At the age of 19, she married barrister Leigh Holman who was 13 years older than she. She gave birth to a daughter the next year. She began an affair with Sir Laurence Olivier and they were eventually each divorced from their spouses and married one another in Santa Barbara, California. After a miscarriage, Vivien became depressed, and she was found to have what is now known as bipolar disorder. She died of tuberculosis in London.
