Angelina Jolie Voight was born June 4, 1975 in Los Angeles, California to actor Jon Voight and actress Marcheline Bertrand. Her parents separated when she was an infant. As a young woman, she had bouts of depression and was suicidal. During that time, she also engaged in self-mutilation. She has been estranged from her father for most of her life and legally dropped his last name. She and her partner Brad Pitt have adopted three children -- from Cambodia, Ethiopia, and Vietnam -- and are biological parents of three.In August of 2014, after seven years together, Angelina and Brad were married.
