William Joel, better known as Billy Joel, was born on May 9, 1949 in The Bronx,/a> and raised in Hicksville, New York. He is a pianist, singer, songwriter, and composer. His first hit song, “Piano Man,” hit the charts in 1973. His father was a Jewish refugee from Germany and his mother was born in England. They divorced when Billy was 11, and his father moved to Vienna, Austria. He has been diagnosed with depression. He has been married three times and has one daughter with his second wife, super model Christie Brinkley. He married his fourth wife, Alexis Roderick, on the 4th of July 2015, and on August 12, they had a daughter named Della Rose.
