Anne Hathaway was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 12, 1982 to a father who is an attorney and a mother who is an actress. Her family moved to Millburn, New Jersey when she was six. She grew up Catholic but has since become a nondenominational Christian though she planned her wedding to her Jewish fiancé to be an interfaith Jewish and Roman Catholic service. Although she has been acting for many years, she is best known for her role in “Les Misrables.” She lives in New York City.
