Formed in Los Angeles, California in 1986, Guns N’ Roses is a hard rock band. The name was formed by combining the names of the two bands the members were formerly in: Hollywood Rose and L.A. Guns. Their bold style was aid to have revitalized rock music, while their 1993 inclusion of a song by mass murderer Charles Manson caused great controversy, as did the blatant and excessive drug and alcohol abuse by some of the members.
