Morgan Freeman was born June 1, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was raised from infancy by his grandmother in Charleston, Mississippi and grew up in numerous places, including Greenwood, Mississippi, Indiana and Chicago, Illinois. He was a radar technician in the Air Force and moved to Los Angeles when he was discharged. He has been married and divorced twice and lives in Charleston, Mississippi.
