Jodie Foster was born Alicia Christian Foster on November 19, 1962 in Los Angeles, California, the youngest of four children born to Evelyn Almond and Lucius Foster. Her father left his wife before Jodie was born. She is an avowed atheist but says she has "great respect for all religions." She earned a degree in literature at Yale. The man who shot President Reagan was obsessed with her after watching "Taxi Driver," and he left love letters to her on campus. She has two sons and co-parents them with her ex-girlfriend.
