Born Lady Jayne Seymour Fonda on December 21, 1937 in New York City, actress Jane Fonda has been a fashion model, sex symbol, fitness guru, and political activist. Her opposition to the Vietnam War was a point of contention which continues in some quarters until today. She has been married three times and has a total of three children and raised one that she and her second husband "unofficially adopted." She announced that she had converted to Christianity in 2001, after years of being married to outspoken atheist-turned-humanist Ted Turner. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010.
