Michael Douglas was born September 25, 1944 in New Brunswick, New Jersey and is the son of actor Kirk Douglas and Diana Love Dill. Although he had been acting since he was a child, his first well-known role was in the television show “The Streets of San Francisco,” which ran from 1972 to 1976. He produced “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,“ and starred as well as produced “China Syndrome.” He is married to Catherine Zeta-Jones, and they have two children, while Michael has one other child from his first marriage. In 2010, he announced on a late night show that he hd throat cancer and that he believed he got it from years of stress, alcohol abuse, and heavy smoking. He completed his course of chemotherapy and radiation and is currently in remission.
