Cameron Diaz, American model and actress, was born August 30, 1972 in San Diego, California. She was raised in Long Beach, the child of a father whose family was from Cuba and a mother who was Anglo and Cherokee. Her father died of pneumonia in 2008 at the age of 58. An avowed Democrat, she endorsed Al Gore in the 2000 presidential election. She lives in Los Angeles. In 2015, she married Benji Madden, guitarist for Good Charlotte, in January 2015.
