Miley Ray Cyrus, who was born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 23, 1992 with the name Destiny Hope Cyrus, is an American actress who was made famous playing Hannah Montana. She is also a singer and a songwriter. Her parents, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish, nicknamed her “Smiley,” which was then shortened over time to “Miley.” She is an Christian, having been baptized in a Southern Baptist church. She announced her engagement in 2012 to Liam Hemsworth, an actor from Australia. There is some confusion as to whether they have yet been married.
