Sir Thomas Sean Connery, known worldwide as Sean Connery, was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1930. He is most famous for his portrayal of James Bond for more than 20 years. He was the first Bond in the wildly successful series. His first job out of school was as a milkman, after which he joined the Royal Navy. He was discharged from the navy due to a duodenal ulcer. He later was a runner-up in the Mr. Universe contest and after hearing from another competitor about auditions for “South Pacific.” Sean got a small part in it and thus began his acting career. He was married to Diane Cilento from 1962 until 1973 and have one son, Jason Connery. He has been married to painter Micheline Roquebrune since 1975. They have a villa in Greece.
