Ringo Starr, born Richard Starkey July 7, 1940 in a href="https://www.avivadirectory.com/Regional/Europe/United-Kingdom/Countries/England/Cities-Towns/Liverpool/">Liverpool, was the drummer for the Beatles beginning in 1962, before they gained fame in the United States. Although his vocals were rarely heard, there were instances when he can be heard in Beatles songs, including “Yellow Submarine” and “With a Little Help from My Friends.” He became prolific once the Beatles broke up, and continues to record. He has been married twice and has three children from his first wife, who died of leukemia in 1994. He and his wife Barbara live part time in Los Angeles, Britain, and Monte Carlo.
