George Harrison (February 25, 1943 - November 29, 2001) was a Liverpool-born singer-songwriter and lead guitarist of the Beatles. After the breakup of the group, he was successful as a solo artist as well as being a founding member of the Traveling Wilburys. He very publicly converted to Hinduism in the 1960s, and at that time Indian culture influenced his music. He was married twice and had one child. He died of brain cancer in Los Angeles.
