Aristotle was a Greek philosopher, a student of Plato, and teacher of Alexander the Great, whose writings covered a variety of subjects, including physics and metaphysics, logic, biology, and zoology, as well as poetry, theater, music, politics, ethics, and linguistics. His writings were credited as being fundamental in the creation of a comprehensive system of Western philosophy.
