The Jewish festival of lights is an eight day festival which begins on the 25th day of the month of Kislev. The month of Kislev is the ninth month of the Jewish year and it begins in November to December on the Gregorian calendar. During this celebration, 9 candles (one for each night) are lit on a menorah and small gifts are given on each day.
