The French and Indian War was a war over the land which was in the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegeny Rivers in what is now called Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was fought between France and England which was fought from 1754 to 1763 in North America. In 1754, the war was enlarged, with nations around the world joining in, and so the portion of the war from 1756 to 1763 became known as the Seven Years' War.
