Norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitors act as a reuptake inhibitor specifically for the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine. They block the action of the transporters which leads to more extracellular concentrations of dopamine and norepinephrine which in turn leads to an increase in adrenergic and dopaminergic transmission.
